Shafaq news/ Manchester City beat Bournemouth tonight in the Premier League in the final game before Saturday's FA Cup semi-final with Arsenal thanks to goals from David Silva and Gabriel Jesus.

City cannot move from second place in the Premier League table in the final three games, and manager Pep Guardiola rotated his side to ensure the squad is as fresh as possible for that meeting at Wembley. John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi were among the players coming in.

However, with Bournemouth fighting for their lives, and coming into this clash on the back of a 4-1 victory over Leicester, City knew the Cherries will be a tough opponent.

Guardiola didn't offer any team news in his pre-match press conference, as the club's victory at CAS to overturn their UEFA sanctions dominated the build-up.

David Silva gave City the lead with a lovely free kick, before Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead just before half time. Bournemouth were spirited and almost grabbed a point after David Brooks' late goal and six nervy minutes of injury time.
