Shafaq News / The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced recording the first confirmed case of corona virus, which is also the first on the South American continent level.

The Brazilian Ministry of Health said that the case is of a 61-year-old man, who is currently staying at Albert Einstein Hospital in the southern region of Sao Paulo, where the place is designated for the transmission of suspected Corona cases.

Lombardy is one of the most prominent regions that have reported several cases of corona virus, while the disease has killed 11 people so far in Italy.

The Brazilian Health Ministry stated that the victim arrived in the country on 21 of February, after returning from the Lombardy region in Italy, where he had been present since the 9^th of the same month.

The man underwent respiratory virus tests, which showed that he was positive with the virus. He has had symptoms of the disease - dry cough, fever, sore throat, and runny nose - but he is doing well, according to the Ministry of Health. While the final result is expected to appear on Wednesday.
