Shafaq News / Malaysia's health authorities announced on Tuesday, the first case of new Corona virus infection among its citizens.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to ten, and the first nine cases are for non-Malaysians.
The authorities said the infected man, a 41-year-old Malaysian, had traveled to Singapore to attend a meeting last month with colleagues from China, one of them from the Chinese city of Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak.
They noted that the symptoms of the infection did not appear on the Malaysian man until January 29, that is, nearly a week after his return to Malaysia.
Malaysian Health Minister , Zulkifl Ahmed said that the results of medical tests on February 3 confirmed that the person and another man from Wuhan, 63, had been infected with the virus.
