Shafaq New/ A delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) held a meeting on Sunday with the Kurdistan Islamic Union in Sulaymaniyah city.

PUK spokesman ,Latif Sheikh Omar said during a press conference with Omar Mohammed, spokesman for Kurdistan Islamic Union that "the PUK is working to unify the position of the Kurdish parties to work together in Baghdad ,disputed areas and Kurdistan Region, we can work with the Kurdish parties to improve services and work together in Parliament for the success of national files. "

He added, "Kurdistan parties can work to coordinate in Kurdistan Parliament, we today discussed with the Islamic Union , strengthening relations among all political parties, especially with Kurdistan Democratic Party, and the implementation of our commitments as we expect from our brothers in the Democratic Party to implement the content of the agreements concluded between us."

Sheikh Omar said that "our aim of these visits is to strengthen coordination with the Kurdish parties because the conditions and developments in the region require it ," adding "We have an agreement with the Democratic Party to elect the governor of Kirkuk and we have ongoing consultations with the rest of Kirkuk to support the candidate of brotherhood list ,we are waiting for an agreement on electing the governor of Kirkuk. "

For his part, Omar Mohammed said that "the meeting was positive and good and that the Kurdish parties should unify their position and work to improve the living conditions of citizens," adding that "the unity of the Kurdish parties make political stability, we support working together and participating in the upcoming provincial council elections in a unified list."
