This came in an interview with Barzani with “Tehran Foreign Policy Studies Quarterly" magazine, which Shafaq News seen, when was asked about "previous strikes operations of Israel against PMF," where he answered, "The biggest mistake was committed, and the Americans are the first to bear responsibility in this regard."
He added, "America cannot blame Israel and disassociate itself from it. They have no say that it is the act of Israel, and we have no accurate information confirming Israel's responsibility for this act."
He added, "If the United States seeks to pursue a policy of establishing security and stability in Iraq, then what happened is primarily directed at the United States," and I think that this strike is not only directed at the stability of Iraq, but rather the stability of the region as a whole, and it was a major mistake. "
In the summer of 2019, several sites and camps of PMF in Iraq were under strikes by planes, in which Israel was accused of carrying out, especially after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted at this by saying, "Iran has no immunity anywhere."
He added that the Iranians continue to threaten to eliminate Israel and build military bases across the Middle East to achieve this goal, considering that the nuclear agreement concluded in 2015 helped Iran escalate what he described as its increasing aggression, adding, "We will act against them wherever necessary, and we are already acting."
Tel Aviv acknowledged that its aircraft carried out many raids on Iranian military targets in Syria, and Netanyahu has repeatedly pledged to prevent Iran from establishing its feet on Syrian soil.
