Shafaq News / The Minister of Interior of Kurdistan Region, Reber Ahmed announced on Tuesday opening an office to issue passports in Zakho district affiliated to Dohuk Governorate.

Ahmed said in a press conference held in Zakho in the presence of Governor ,Farhad Atruchi and representative of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, "It is a pleasure for me to announce today opening an office for issuing passports in Zakho after the completion of all work related to this aspect."

He added that the opening of this office falls within the policy of the regional government and the recommendations of Prime Minister ,Masrour Bazarani in working to provide the necessary services to the citizens.

The Ministry of Interior of Kurdistan Region decided since the beginning of the formation of the government, to open three new offices in the governorates of Erbil and Dohuk to issue passports as a special committee has been formed for this purpose.

According to an official letter issued by the ministry, the ministry decided to open three passport-issuing offices in Soran, Zakho and Aqra districts.
