Shafaq News / The Minister of Health of Kurdistan Region, Saman Al-Barzanji announced on Thursday opening of the first special center for testing and diagnosing the new Corona virus in Soran district affiliated to Erbil Governorate, noting that Soran is the first district in the region and Iraq that opens such a center.
Al-Barzanji said in a joint press conference held with the Judicial Department and the Governor of Erbil Firsat Sofi that a special center for tests and diagnosis of Corona virus was opened in Soran District.
He added that Soran District had become the first district in Iraq to have a virus testing center, adding that opening this center reduces pressure on cities and limits routine for citizens under the imposition of a curfew.
Al-Barzanji added that Soran District is ready to receive suspected cases and diagnose the virus, and a quarantine place has been allocated within the district.
He noted that health laboratories in Kurdistan Region are conducting tests on an average of 700 suspected cases every day, indicating that there are cases of the virus that respond to treatment and improve, and during the coming days, they will leave hospitals after they get full recovery.
