Shafaq News / Several houses in Dohuk Governorate in Kurdistan Region, were demolished on Wednesday as a result of the heavy rains that fell in the province.
Shafaq News reporter said that heavy rains fell in several areas of Dohuk Governorate, adding that about 300 houses were affected by the floods and that several houses were completely destroyed in the center of Dohuk city as a result of the continuing rains since yesterday.
He pointed out that about 30 cars have drowned so far, but the governorate has not yet recorded human loss due to these floods.
The reporter pointed out that the relevant authorities called on citizens to stay home after water cut off several main roads in the governorate.
The weather forecast, Sadeq Atiya expected on Monday that Iraq will be exposed to a new air depression, warning at the same time against sweeping floods and winds in most of the country's provinces, including Kurdistan Region.
