Shafaq News / Kurdistan Regional Parliament voted by a majority of its members in a session today, Tuesday, to extend its current legislative term for a full month.
A parliamentary source told Shafaq News that 77 members of the region's parliament voted to approve the 30-day extension of the legislative term.
The source added that Parliament seeks through the extension of its current legislative term, to ratify the reform law sent by Kurdistan Regional Government.
A parliamentary source had stated last week that Kurdistan Region Parliament granted the reform bill an urgent characteristic to legislate it before the legislative separation holiday comes.
Kurdistan Regional Council of Ministers sent a draft of the reform law to Kurdistan Parliament, including the views of the Kurdish blocs on the legal draft.
