Shafaq News / Kurdistan Minister of Interior, Riber Ahmed Barzani attributed on Saturday tightening procedures and the imposition of a complete curfew to several things, most notably that some citizens couldn’t understand the dangers of Corona virus.
Ahmed said in a joint press conference held with the Minister of Health Saman Al-Barzanji today that "after consulting the governors and local administrations, we decided to tighten the curfew measures during the next 48 hours in order to conduct a review of the regions after demands from the Ministry of Health that confirmed that the virus is going to spread even more," adding” this decision was taken to limit the spread of the virus.
He added that, until now, some citizens have not yet understood the dangers of Corona virus and are not obligated with the curfew procedures, although the government has taken all steps according to a study to reduce Corona infections.
Ahmed added, "We see that some people took advantage of the exemptions that you gave to a segment of the citizens to create crowding and that is why we decided to reconsider all of these things," noting that "we have fears of a rapid spread of the epidemic during the next period”.
