Shafaq News / The Minister of Health of Kurdistan Region, Saman Al-Barzanji announced on Thursday the Ministry’s recommendation to the authorities in the region to extend the curfew in accordance with new procedures in light of the low rate of infection with the emerging corona virus.
Al-Barzanji said in a press conference held today in Erbil that in the last meeting with the Supreme Committee in charge of combating Corona virus and the Council of Ministers, governors and independent local administrations, we presented a set of important decisions regarding the need to adhere to the instructions and preventive measures previously issued to limit the spread of the virus because it is an infectious disease and its risks are great and it is being controlled until now. "
He added, "We decided to continue imposing the curfew with new procedures and regulation, and we sent a formal request to the Ministry of Interior in this regard."
Al-Barzanji added that "the imposition of the curfew and instructions issued by the local administrations resulted in imposing good control of the virus and preventing its spread, but this does not mean that the risks of Corona have ended, because even if one case is recorded, this means it is a danger."
