Shafaq News/ The Iranian Consul General in Sulaimaniyah province, Mehdi Shushtari announced that his country agreed to open four new border ports with Kurdistan region.

The semi-official Mehr news agency quoted Shushtari as saying that "we are working to open four border ports with Kurdistan region," noting that those ports will be opened to the side along the border with the Sulaymaniyah province.”

Halabja Deputy Governor ,Kawa Ali Karim said on Saturday that Iran had formally agreed to make "Kelly, Shushmi, Tawila, Sheikh Saleh and Bishtah " international trade and tourism border ports, adding that the Iraqi and Iranian sides are scheduled to hold a joint meeting soon on this issue.
