Shafaq News / The Ministry of Health of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced on Monday that it has not recorded new infections with Corona virus in the region for the seventh day in a raw.
The number of people who have been quarantined so far has reached 10390 from those who have returned from outside the region and who are in contact with persons confirmed to have contracted the epidemic virus, indicating that the number of those remaining in the quarantine is currently 1117 from 32 different places, 399 from Erbil, 136 from Sulaymaniyah, 580 from Dohuk, and 2 from Rapren, a statement of the ministry, reported to Shafaq News Agency.
He added that 9273 people left the quarantine and returned to their families after completing the 14-day quarantine period after conducting successive laboratory tests and making sure that they did not carry the virus, pointing to the quarantine 11 new people during the past 24 hours.
The statement pointed out that during the past 24 hours, the ministry conducted 976 tests at the regional level, including 423 in Erbil, 251 in Sulaymaniyah, 252 in Dohuk and 50 in Halabja, noting that all the checks were negative and no new infection was recorded.
He added that the total number of tests carried out by the ministry since the emergence of the virus reached 54024 tests in all areas of the region.
The statement outlined the number of those infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kurdistan Region so far 391, of whom 5 have died, and 372 have acquired complete recovery, noting that 14 patients are currently under medical care.
