Shafaq News / Erbil province announced on Thursday, that medical checkpoints will be allocated to all entrances to the region's capital, as a precautionary measure after the outbreak of Corona virus.
Tariq Nouri, director of Erbil Asaish said in a special statement to Shafaq News, that "due to the increased cases of Corona in Sulaymaniyah, medical teams have been allocated at the inspection points of the entrances to Erbil to examine all those coming to the province."
He added, "The arrivals will be allowed to enter the province after conducting the tests."
He stressed, "Every person who wants to enter Erbil must pass through the points where the medical teams are located."
The municipality directorate of Sulaymaniyah governorate announced on Thursday, that a cemetery has been allocated to bury the victims of Corona virus in the province.
Sulaymaniyah municipality informed "Shafaq News", that "in cooperation with the health directorate in the province, a cemetery was allocated to bury corona's victims after recording the first death yesterday in Sulaymaniyah."
The municipality stated that "the cemetery is located in the east of Sulaimaniyah, where the cleric who died yesterday as a result of being infected with virus was the first to be buried in it."
It is noteworthy that Sulaimaniyah recorded the first death recorded in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region on Wednesday by cleric Mulla Rashid (63 years), before Baghdad recorded two deaths later.
The total number infections recorded in Iraq are 38 cases, distributed as follows: 14 Baghdad, 8 Sulaymaniyah, 5 Kirkuk, 4 Najaf, 2 Wasit, 2 Diyala, 1 Maysan, 1 Karbala and 1 Babil.
