Shafaq News / Al- Sulaymaniyah Province in Kurdistan Region announced, on Thursday, the start of a project to afforest Quiza Mountain overlooking the city.

Sulaymaniyah Governor, Haval Abu Bakr said in a press conference that the city will witness the start of forestation implementing of the slopes of Mount Quiza, explaining that the remaining area of the entire forestation of the mountain is 4000 Acers.

In turn, the mayor of Sulaimaniyah city , Awat Muhammad said that the project comes to increase the green areas in the city and preserve the environment.

Mohamed called on private companies in the city to support the metioned project.
