Shafaq News/ A Turkish soldier was killed and five others were wounded in an operation by the PKK in the northeastern Ras al-Ain city, the Turkish Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

The ministry said in a statement that the militants carried out a mortar attack and machine guns in Ras al-Ain.

The statement added that the armed forces responded to the attack.
