Shafaq News / According to a security official confirmed the assassination of a leader in Al-Salam Brigades who works as a government employee in Basra Governorate.

A security source had previously reported to Shafaq News that unknown gunmen assassinated an employee traveling in a pickup vehicle with a government registration plate belonging to the irrigation department near Muhammed Al Qasim Bridge, west of Basra.

In a later situation, a security official told Shafaq News that the employee who was assassinated was a leader in Al-Salam Brigades called Hazem Abu Sajjad al-Halfi.
