Shafaq News / The leader in Salvation and Development Front, Athil al-Nujaifi warned on Tuesday of "collapse and chaos", because of the continuing political differences over the formation of the new Iraqi government.
Al-Nujaifi told Shafaq News that " if the Iraqi political forces do not accelerate the formation of the new government, the situation will go to collision, then chaos and collapse, and thus the formation will be more difficult with chaos," expressing his opinion that "if this chaos occurred, the political blocs will accept any candidate. "
He added, "But things will get loose and at the time it will be difficult to get acquainted with the Iraqi situation. In the previous period, when the Iraqi situation was dispersed, there was (an international coalition) that helped Iraq until its status became clear, but today Iraq lost this coalition, because the situation will be much more difficult than Iraq went through previously, referring to ISIS occupation of Iraqi cities.
In mid-March, the President of the Republic, Barham Salih assigned the former governor of Najaf, head of "Victory" coalition, Adnan al-Zorfi, the task of forming the transitional government.
On Saturday, Al-Zorfi submitted his government program to Parliament, accompanied by a request to renew the confidence-giving session for his cabinet, which he said had been completed.
Al-Zorfi is facing opposition from prominent Shiite forces, headed by the Al-Fatah coalition led by Hadi al-Amiri and the State of Law coalition led by Nuri al-Maliki.
