Shafaq News/ Demonstrators tried on Tuesday noon to shut down the official al-Iraqi TV channel in Dhi Qar province, which has been witnessing angry protests for more than a week.

 Dozens of protesters are trying to reach the building of al- Iraqiya media network and al- Iraqiya TV channel in Dhi Qar to shut them down, Shafaq News reporter said.

The reporter added that the security forces constitute a security cordon to stop them.

He said that the protesters object the mechanism of the Iraqi state channel’s coverage to the protests in the capital and Dhi Qar province in particular.
