Shafaq News / Peace Brigades spokesman, Safa Al-Tamimi revealed on Wednesday, the fact that the "blue hats" withdrew from Tahrir Square and the Turkish restaurant, in the center of the capital, Baghdad.
Al-Sadr had ordered the "blue hats" in coordination with the security forces to restore official working hours and open roads that were blocked by protesters in areas where demonstrations are taking place in Iraq. This is after Muhammad Allawi was appointed as the head of a transitional government.
The "blue hats" include elements of the "Peace Brigades" of Moqtada al-Sadr.
Hours after Sadr directed his follower in coordination with the security forces to open roads and end popular demonstrations, several clashes took place between them and the demonstrators in a few squares, leaving a number of wounded.
Al-Tamimi told Shafaq News, "Until this moment there is no order to withdraw the blue hats from Tahrir Square or the Turkish restaurant, but there is a real work and effort to protect the demonstrations."
He stated that "the Turkish restaurant was opened, after it was cleaned, and decorated," stressing that "the Turkish restaurant is available to everyone and is currently open, and every citizen and even the media can enter it and take up that platform, which is a platform for free people demanding reform and expelling the corrupt." .
