Shafaq News/ The spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed al-Sahaf has confirmed that the European and Arab countries agree with Iraq in its vision on the American -Iranian crisis.

Al-Sahaf told Russian media that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working with countries in the European Union and Arab countries to find compromise formulas to reduce the ongoing escalation between Iran and Washington.

"Our approaches are based on finding a neutral solution during the dialogues in a way that would prevent escalation and spare the region from the dangers of war," he said.

A week ago, EU Commissioner for Security and Foreign Policy, Federica Mujerini revealed EU support for an Iraqi proposal for a regional conference aimed at curbing the escalation between the United States and Iran as well as defusing tension in the region.
