Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Prime Minister ,Adel Abdul Mahdi received a phone call from Turkish President , Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss relations between the two countries and to cooperate in joint files and in the field of combating terrorism.
"The Turkish president expressed his support for the unity and stability of Iraq , the development of relations in all fields, and for the government's efforts to respond to the demands of the demonstrators," a statement by Abdul Mahdi's office received by Shafaq News said.
"The prime minister explained the current situation, especially the peaceful demonstrations , how to deal with them and distinguish between them and groups of saboteurs who use violence, attacking security forces, threatening and intimidating citizens, schools and departments, disrupting interests and burning buildings."
"Erdogan praised the wisdom and patience of the government's approach in dealing with these events , the importance of imposing law and order and listening to the demands of the Iraqi people," he said.
