Ban Ki-moon arrived on Monday morning, to the capital of Baghdad and was received at Baghdad International Airport by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, representative of the Secretary -General of the United Nations mission , Nikolai Miladinov , the Head of UNAMI mission in Iraq .

The Secretary-General was accompanied by a delegation that represents all of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees , Antonio Guterres , the assistant of the Secretary -General of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs , Valerie Amos as well as a number of senior officialsin the United Nations.

“Shafaq News” reporter said that” Ban Ki-moon and his entourage had arrived this morning to Erbil International Airport and was received by the head of Kurdistan Regional Government , Nechirvan Barzani , Chairman of the region’s office , Fouad Hussein and a number of officials in the regional government ."

He added that " the secretary-general of the United Nations will visit the Kourkosk camp in Erbil to be informed on conditions of the Syrian refugees there."

Ki-moon has praised in a joint press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, the positions of Iraq and its people to open doors to receive displaced Syrians because of the violence in their country .
