Shafaq News / "Badr" Parliamentary bloc revealed on Sunday, consultations by Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi with the political blocs and parties to form his prospective government.
The President of the Republic, Barham Salih had appointed Allawi to form the government early this month, and he has 30 days to present his formation to Parliament to give it confidence.
The head of "Badr" bloc, Hassan Al-Kaabi told Shafaq News that Allawi began consultations and dialogues with political blocs and parties last week in order to discuss the formation of his upcoming government, which includes all political forces.
Al-Kaabi explained that the consultations are still in their initial stages and no agreements have been reached yet, adding that "the consultations will be decisive during the next few days, especially after Allawi finishes meeting all the powers."
Allawi was nominated after agreeing between the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr and the head of the "Al-Fateh" coalition, Hadi al-Amiri.
However, he is a former Communications Minister, and he does not enjoy the support of the popular movement, which demands the selection of an independent figure who has not held high positions in the international community and away from foreign dependency, especially Iran.
