Shafaq News / Deputy of State of Law bloc , Ali Jabbar Al-Ghanimi revealed on Thursday, that some political blocs handed over Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kathemi a list of their candidates for ministerial portfolios in the next government.
Al-Ghanimi told "Shafaq News", that "the political blocs that supported Al-Kathemi and welcomed his mandate are negotiating with him on the form and organization of the next government, in addition to giving their opinion to name the ministerial cabinet."
He added that "some political blocs submitted lists of names of their candidates for ministerial portfolios to Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kathemi in addition to other blocs that informed al-Kathemi that they waived their eligibility for candidacy and that they do not agree to the ministerial cabinet without seeing the names of the candidates for the ministerial cabinet."
Al-Ghanimi emphasized that "partisan quotas and ministerial division are present in Al-Kathemi’s government," noting that "the political blocs will not waive their entitlements neither in Al-Kathemi government nor in future governments."
The Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kathemi announced in an interview with journalists on Tuesday that the names of members of the government cabinet are ready and he is negotiating with the political blocs on this in order to pass it inside the parliament dome as soon as possible.
Al-Kathemi said he is the head of a crisis government, "and neither he nor anyone else has a magic stick" to solve the crises in Iraq.
