A member of the bloc , Hakem al-Zamili told “Shafaq News ", that "The large blocs within the National Alliance agreed on the mandate of the Prime Minister for two terms only , with the exception of State of law coalition, which rejects this approach ."
Zamili added that "We will face a difficulty in the adoption of the rules of procedure of the National Alliance , especially with the approach to determine the term’s period of the prime minister," adding that " some forces within the National Alliance insists on the rules of procedure to include a paragraph to determine the term’s period of the Prime Minister ."
The major Sunni , Shiites and Kurds blocs opposes Maliki's efforts , which will open the door to tough negotiations and perhaps drag on for months for the birth of the government in the country that complain from exacerbated violence and political disputes .
Maliki seek to hold office for a third term after State of law coalition came in the first place in the elections that took place on 30th of last April with 93 seats, but it needs more than 70 seats to achieve a majority that will allow it to form a government .
