Shafaq News/ The Iraqi President, Barham Saleh held a meeting with Shiite and Sunni political forces until early Thursday, an informed source said.
The source said that the meeting, which included Saleh, Fateh coalition ,State of law , Alliance towards Reform , Wisdom coalition , victory Alliance and Sunni forces, resulted in several agreements.
According to the source, the two agreed to amend the election law , change the Independent High Electoral Commission, dissolve the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and call for early elections according to a specified period.The source added that the meeting had a dispute about the resignation of Prime Minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi at the moment because of the demonstrations, the unstable atmosphere or to submit his resignation and place it under the hands of parliament until the provision of an alternative.
A source, according to the semi-official newspaper "al-Sabah" said that it is likely to allocate a session on Thursday to accept the resignation of the government, indicating that negotiations are underway between "Fateh" alliance and Allaince towards Reform , while the head of Fateh Alliance ,Hadi al-Amiri showed that his is willing to cooperate with the leader of Sadr movement, Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr "In order to achieve the interests of the Iraqi people and save the country in the interest of the public interest," Sadr stressed that the non resignation of Prime Minister ,Adel Abdul Mahdi will not stop the blood shed ."
This comes at a time when Alliance Towards Reform revealed start of serious and comprehensive dialogues of the political blocs in parliament to discuss the end of the work of the government and the formation of another, while Fatah alliance called to convene an emergency meeting in the presence of Sadr movement leader Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr and the Head of Alliance Towards Reform, Hadi al-Amiri and the three presidencies to discuss the current situation.
