Shafaq News/ A source in the Iraqi police said on Thursday that a curfew was imposed in al-Nasiriyah, the capital of Dhi Qar province.
The security and medical sources said earlier in the day that the outcome of the clashes in Dhi Qar province in southern Iraq rose to less than 13 killed and dozens wounded.
The sources said the death toll in Dhi Qar rose to 13 dead and 75 wounded as a result of live bullets by security forces at the demonstrators.
Fierce clashes erupted in the early hours of the morning as security forces at al- Zaitoun Bridge in Nasiriyah opened fire on protesters, killing at least eight demonstrators and wounding 45 others.
The sources said that clashes between the troops and demonstrators near al- Zaitoun Bridge are still continuing.
