The two sides discussed issues of common interest between the two countries, especially in economic and energy fields and ways to develop them.

The Iraqi Minister of Oil confirmed Iraq’s desire to promote friendly relations with Russia and expand the volume of cooperation and investment in the oil and energy field.

For his part, Bogdanov renewed the depth of historical relations between the two countries, stressing his country's support and assistance to Iraq.
