The Chairman of the Investment Committee in the governorate , Mohammed Shawee told Shafaq News, that "Maysan province is one of the most provinces that implement the budgets and projects among a lot of the provinces rather than supporting this province which is suffering from a severe shortage of projects so they can reduce the financial share provided by law."

He explained that "the production of Maysan province of oil per day is 340 000 barrels of oil, and the Federal Government allocated within the petro-dollar project is 86 billion dinars, which have not arrived till now, we do not know the mechanism that has been adopted in the allocation of the amount as calculated dollars a half or three-quarters of the dollar for every produced barrel of oil. "

Shawee pointed out that "Maysan province is not a productive cow for the rest of the provinces so that its financial share would be reduced in light of rising oil production."
