The bank said in a statement seen by Shafaq News, that "50 000 dinars banknotes was issued with dimensions of 65 mm width, 156 mm length, which is dominated by light brown color except for the framework decorations that took darker color."
The bank noted that "the purpose of its issuance for the banknotes is to complete the Iraqi Securities monetary structure and the development of high-value category in trading."
"The banknote was printed by using high-quality printing paper with a number of security and technical marks in it," noting that "the paper include schematic picture of a paddle wheel of Euphrates and palm trees in the middle and a picture of one of Kurdistan's Falls."
The Bank added "The paper also includes security signs that have been printed with magnetic ink, in addition to the structures against counterfeiting and cloning attempts."
The bank said that "the paper contains marks to help the blind people to know it in a form of four straight horizontal lines, in addition to the watermark (horse's head) with an Assyrian Palm half of it imprinted in the front of the paper and the other half in the back."
The bank confirmed that "the back of the paper will include a graphical picture of the Iraqi Marshlands include reed house , a number of fishermen and a group of animals (buffaloes and birds) and a picture of a palm of Iraq with Tigris and Euphrates rivers drawing within the map of Iraq," explaining that "the banknote has been painted with paint visor so as to extend the life of the paper and protect it from dirt and dust. "
